The Dubai Frame, Dubai's new icon!

Dubai is known and praised for its architecture. The ultramodern city is bursting with striking, impressive buildings and new buildings are added regularly. Many people know Dubai because of the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building and the Burj al Arab, the most luxurious hotel in the world. But in 2018 a new icon has been added to the Dubai skyline: the amazing Dubai Frame, which is definitely worth a visit because this building looks like a huge photo frame!

Dubai Frame, the world's largest photo frame

When you look at the Dubai Frame you will immediately see where the building got its name from. You will see a huge and unique building that looks like a huge frame in the middle of the city. The Dubai Frame consists of two horizontal bars and two vertical towers and open in the inside just like a real photo frame. The location of the Dubai Frame has been carefully chosen because it offers magnificent views from both sides of the building. From one side can see the impressive modern center of Dubai with its numerous skyscrapers and from the other side you have a panoramic view of the historic Dubai with the Dubai Creek and the Souks.

Inside the Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame is impressive from the outside, but there is plenty to do inside as well. Inside you can experience the old, present and future of Dubai in three different sections. In the old Dubai section you can see the emirate as it was a long time ago. With the help of projections, mist effects, smells, photos and videos, you feel like you are in Dubai in its early days. At the top of Dubai Frame you will experience the current Dubai. The sky deck gives you a beautiful panoramic 360 degree view. On the north side you can see the modern of Dubai with its towering offices and residential towers and on the south side you will have view at the old part of the city. Using augmented reality you get more information about the many buildings and sights which you can see from the Dubai Frame. When you like a thrill you can walk over a glass floor from one side to the other side through the Dubai Frame. It's a scary walk but fun and safe! Once you are back downstairs you will pass a tunnel with image and sound effects that creates the illusion of time travel. When you get out of the tunnel you will end up in Dubai of the future.
