The history of the Dubai Air Show

When the Dubai Air show first started in 1986, it all went a lot smaller than today. Then the event took place again in 1989, 1991, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2013 and 2017. Every time the Dubai Air Show became bigger and more spectacular and attracted more and more visitors. The Dubai Air Show in 20013 was at that time the fastest selling event in the history of the show. No less than 550 companies from 36 different countries participated in the show.

What can you see during the Dubai Air Show?

Get ready for spectacle and thrill when you go to the Dubai Air Show. Large airbuses, mainly from Dubai's own Emirates airline, are already flying in the air. In addition, several F16s also cross through the air, leaving behind colorful traces. Stunt pilots show what they can do by performing handsome loops and somersaults in the airspace. In 2017 there were a total of no less than 160 aircraft to be admired during the Dubai Air Show. The expectation is that this number will only increase in future shows.
